About the Examination
The BFP Qualifying Examination (BFP QE) is a screening test administered directly by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) as part of the recruitment process for Fire Officer 1 (FO1) candidates. Passing this exam is an internal requirement to advance to physical agility and neuro-psych stages.

Arrive at the testing venue at least one hour before the test, typically by 6:30 AM or as specified in the recruitment notice. Late examinees are disqualified.
Room Assignment Reminder
Lists of qualified applicants and room assignments are posted on the BFP Portal and regional Facebook pages 3 to 5 days before the exam.
Dress Code
BFP Candidate Attire: Plain white round-neck T-shirt (tucked in), plain blue/dark maong (denim) jeans. No ripped or distressed jeans. White rubber shoes or athletic shoes. Slippers, sandals, cargo pants, and colored shirts are prohibited.
