The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) administers the PNP Entrance Examination (for civilians seeking Patrolman/Patrolwoman eligibility) and Promotional Examinations (for active PNP ranks). Passing the entrance exam grants eligibility for appointment in the PNP. Passing score is 70.00%.

Things to Prepare

Download and print your Notice of Admission (NOA) and OLEASS slip.
Locate your testing school assignment on the NAPOLCOM website 3 days before.
Prepare Mongol No. 2 pencils and a clean eraser.

What to Bring

Printed Notice of Admission (NOA) with photo.
Printed OLEASS Confirmation Slip.
Original valid ID (or PNP ID for promotional takers).
Several Pencil No. 2 (Mongol No. 2), eraser, and sharpener.
Black or blue ballpen (for written fields and signing lists).
Clear transparent folder/bag.
Snacks and water in clear label-free containers.

What NOT to Bring

Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, or other electronic devices.
Review sheets, notes, or dictionaries.
Clearances (clearances are not accepted as valid IDs).

Arrive at the testing venue by 6:30 AM. Latecomers will not be admitted under any circumstances.

Room Assignment Reminder

Room assignments are published on the NAPOLCOM website and posted at the gates of the testing center.

Dress Code

For PNP Entrance Exam (Civilians): Plain white T-shirt or white polo shirt, dark pants (denim or slacks), and closed shoes. For Promotional Exams (PNP Members): Prescribed PNP GOA Type C uniform. Prohibited: Sleeveless shirts, shorts, ripped jeans, slippers.

Answer Sheet Practice

Practice shading your answer sheet beforehand to avoid wasting valuable minutes during the real examination. Use our sample answer sheets to build muscle memory and increase your test speed.

Use Pencil No. 2 only for shading. Ink marks on bubbles can lead to scanning errors.
Use a black/blue ballpen to fill text fields and sign lists.
Erase completely using a clean eraser if you change an answer.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Forgetting the printed NOA.
Active police officers arriving in civilian clothes for promotional exams.
Presenting a clearance instead of a valid ID.

Frequently Asked Questions

If I am a Registered Criminologist, do I need this exam?
No. Registered Criminologists (RA 1080) automatically possess police eligibility and do not need to take the PNP Entrance Exam.
